Greenville, NC -- August 28th, 2006 ROAR Racing with Compass360 is proud to welcome Travis Walker and David Ciekiewicz, both of Toronto, as drivers of the team's #63 Mazda RX-8 for the Miller Motorsports Park event. "We're thrilled to add these two guys to our driver line-up," said Rob Whitener, ROAR's Team Principal. "They're top-caliber guys who have proven themselves in this series." Walker has piloted an Acura RSX-S to a top-five qualifying position in seven races so far this year, and is keen to work with the Mazda's rear-drive platform. "The RX-8 has been really competitive in Grand Am Cup," he said. "I'm excited to have the opportunity to race in one with ROAR." Ciekiewicz, who was most recently in a Grand Am race at VIR's season opener, had good results in the Compass360 BMWs last year. "Miller looks to be a real challenge, with so many corners," he enthused. "I think it'll be a real driver's track, and perfect for the Mazda." Walker and Ciekiewicz join Karl Thomson and Billy Johnson, who will drive the team's #62 car. "We've now got great drivers who can make the most of the changes we've made to the cars over the past few months," said Whitener. "Miller should be great fun."
